Lead Instructor : Michael Moons RN, R.Ac

Michael is a Registered Nurse and Registered Acupuncturist in Ontario. He founded Adapt Seminars after facing challenges in treating orthopedic conditions early in his career. One major difficulty he encountered was the uncertainty of patient outcomes; returning patients would often report no improvement, which lead to starting our treatment from scratch. It was the failures, rather than the successes, that motivated him to seek out the best orthopedic and neuro-based practitioners worldwide.

Drawing from this extensive experience, Michael developed his own treatment method, which emphasizes thorough assessment and identifying the root cause of dysfunction. He found that focusing solely on pain often resulted in a repetitive cycle of symptom management without lasting resolution.
Unlike many courses that teach specific techniques like motor points or trigger points, Michael’s courses focus on uncovering the underlying cause of pain through neurofunctional assessments and movement screening. Once we understand the story better we can use the skills you learn like motorpoints, trigger points, electrostimulation and soft tissue to make lasting changes. This approach can be applied to both complex and straightforward cases.

With over 18 years of medical experience, Michael also serves as a part-time lecturer in Orthopedics and Sports Acupuncture at Humber College.
